Kevin Swan
Managing Partner
Kevin developed a passion for start ups and entrepreneurship during his time spent in the Silicon Valley. Coming from an agriculture background, the world of high-tech companies was a definite change of pace, but a welcomed one. Before pursuing building technology companies, Kevin spent 15 years working with his family apiary, one of the largest honey producers in Canada. With annual production reaching one million pounds of honey a year, it provided an appreciation for hard work.
Currently Kevin is involved operationally at Nexopia.com and sits on the board or advises a number of companies in the Cardinal Venture Partners portfolio. He is also a venture partner with Canadian venture capital firm iNovia Capital.
Academically, Kevin earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University where he studied control systems, mechatronics and entrepreneurship. Currently he is based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He also tries to keep up with his personal blog Once a Beekeeper.
Evan Roberts

Evan grew up in the heart of the Silicon Valley in Palo Alto, California, so he is no stranger to technology start ups and venture capital. Always interested in the analytics of markets, products and companies he spends a lot of time staying on top of emerging industries. In addition to technology companies, Evan has put capital and effort into a number of projects in real estate and commerce.
Evan holds a Bachelors of Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University where he studied organizations, analytics and systems modeling. He remains one of the few hockey players in the Silicon Valley as Palo Alto is still where he calls home.
